Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of FinSage (finsageguide.com), an independent website operated by pasindu.nbuss. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Educational content only — not advice

Everything on this site — guides, articles, calculators, market data, insurance explanations — is general educational information. It is not financial, investment, insurance, tax or legal advice, not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything, and not a solicitation or offer of any product. It does not take account of your personal circumstances, and it cannot: the site knows nothing about you.

The site owner is not a licensed financial adviser, investment adviser, insurance adviser, accountant, attorney or financial planner, and does not provide personalised advice in any form. Before acting on anything you read here, consult a professional licensed in your own jurisdiction. See the full disclaimer.

Jurisdiction and international visitors

Financial products, taxation, credit reporting and insurance are regulated nationally and differ substantially between countries. Content on this site that depends on a particular country's rules is labelled with a scope note, but no page should be relied on as a statement of the law where you live. You are responsible for determining whether the information is appropriate and lawful for your own location.

Calculators

The loan, investment growth, retirement and budgeting calculators, and the insurance coverage estimator, apply standard financial formulas to the numbers you enter, under the assumptions stated on each page. Results are estimates for illustration only. They are not quotes, offers, approvals, valuations or guarantees from any lender, insurer, fund or institution, and real terms offered to you will differ. All calculation happens in your browser; the values you enter are not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Market data

Cryptocurrency, tokenised gold and currency figures are sourced from third-party public APIs (CoinGecko and open.er-api.com) and are cached — typically about 90 seconds for crypto and up to 6 hours for exchange rates — so they lag the market by design. Data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate or unavailable, and providers may change or withdraw their services at any time.

In particular, the gold figure shown is PAX Gold (PAXG), a tokenised gold proxy traded on crypto venues. It is not the XAU/USD spot price and can differ from it. Never use this site as a basis for a trade, transfer or purchase; use the venue you are transacting through.

Acceptable use

You may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

• scrape, mirror or republish substantial parts of the site, or the market data served through it;
• make automated or excessive requests to the site or its /api/ endpoints, or otherwise place unreasonable load on the infrastructure or the upstream data providers;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its hosting;
• present the content as your own, or use it in a way that implies endorsement or a professional advisory relationship;
• use the site for anything unlawful in your jurisdiction.

Intellectual property

The text, design, code, charts and illustrations on FinSage are the property of the site owner, except where third-party material is identified. Brief quotation with clear attribution and a link is welcome; wholesale reproduction is not permitted without written permission. Third-party names and trade marks mentioned belong to their owners and are used descriptively only.

Third-party links

Pages link to external sites — regulators, central banks, research publishers, data providers and, in future, advertisers. Those sites are outside our control. We do not endorse them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or their privacy and security practices. Links to official sources are provided so you can verify claims independently, not as recommendations of any product they may offer.

Advertising

No advertising currently runs on this site. If display advertising is introduced in future it will be served by a third-party network operating under its own terms and privacy practices, will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content, and will not influence what is published. The privacy policy will describe it before it goes live, and the editorial policy sets out the disclosure rules that will apply.

Availability

The site is provided free of charge and may be changed, interrupted or discontinued at any time without notice. Live data features depend on third-party providers and will be unavailable when those providers are.

No warranty

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. No warranty is given that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site owner is not liable for any loss or damage — including financial loss, lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site, its calculators, its market data or its content. You use the site, and make your own financial decisions, at your own risk.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions apply only to the extent permitted there, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Indemnity

You agree not to hold the site owner responsible for claims arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
